EST · PROCUREMENT NOTES
Turn room requirements into a material takeoff
Prepare a room-by-room Japanese material schedule with units, model codes, approval references and procurement checks.
Start with rooms and measured quantities
Give every room or zone a reference. Record the measured net area separately from any allowance. For wallcoverings, record wall height, openings and the installer’s drop layout; metres of wallpaper and square metres of wall are different quantities.
Keep the manufacturer code intact
Copy the full current code from the manufacturer source and keep an approved sample reference beside it. A series name alone may cover several sizes or materials. Use the specification library to compare cases such as GA1002 nylon carpet and GA4034 polypropylene carpet before approving a substitution.
Use one unit for each line
Use m² for the selected floor tiles, linear metres for wallcovering, and whole cans for adhesive. Keep skirting and trims on separate lines. The procurement planner rounds a known floor format to whole cases using its nominal tile geometry and the allowance you enter; custom items remain as entered until packing is confirmed.
Mark the decisions still open
Record colour or lot requests, sample approval status, substrate information and required delivery date. Ask EST to confirm the factory minimum, available quantity, accessories and current packing. Adhesive suitability and consumption require the manufacturer’s current instructions and the installer’s assessment.
Send a useful first inquiry
Add the destination country and port, project use and your target schedule. Download a copy before carrying the list into the inquiry form. Review the populated message and add contact details; only the form’s final submission sends the inquiry. Request an NDA before sharing confidential drawings.
