Order floor tiles by the correct case
Understand nominal case coverage, rounding and the information needed before consolidating Japanese flooring.
Read dimensions and pieces together
A 500 × 500 mm tile covers0.25 m². For the 20-piece GA1002 case, nominal coverage is5 m². PST4131 is 450 × 450 mm with 14 pieces: its calculated nominal coverage is2.835 m² per case. These are different ordering units even though both are floor finishes.
Keep the rounding visible
For 100 m² of PST4131 with no allowance entered,100 ÷2.835 rounds up to 36 cases, or 102.06 m². With a user-entered5% allowance,105 ÷2.835 rounds up to 38 cases, or 107.73 m². The5% is an illustration, not a recommended universal waste factor; the installer must assess the layout.
Separate material coverage from shipping volume
Tile area and catalogue case weight do not establish the export carton dimensions, pallet arrangement or gross shipping weight. Obtain current outer dimensions, stack limits, pallet or crate details and handling restrictions before choosing FCL or LCL. Do not derive a container loading promise from m² alone.
Coordinate floor, trims and adhesive
Keep matching trims and adhesive as separate order lines. Record nominal adhesive contents separately from shipping weight. Current SDS, packing and carrier acceptance must be reviewed for each adhesive; an SDS is not a universal non-dangerous-goods certificate.
Freeze the confirmed schedule
Reconcile the final model, quantity, lot request, packing and availability with EST’s written quote. The downloadable planner is a discussion list; the confirmed quote and packing list govern the actual order.
